Background: Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) (OMIM 131100) is an autosomal dominant disorder associated with a high risk of developing parathyroid hyperplasia (90%), digestive neuroendocrine tumors (30–70%) and pituitary adenomas (30-40%).
